2019 World Rowing Tour Finland

The 2019 World Rowing Tour will take place in the region of North Karelia in Finland. The course leads through the heart of the North Karelian Lakeland. It is planned to visit the cities of Kieksa and Joensuu and the famous monastery in Valamo. Koli’s magnificent landscapes and clear waters of lake Pielinen invite you to visit the wilderness and relax in Pielinen Karelia.

The boats used are big boats, so called Church Boats, with a crew of 14 rowers plus a cox. Church Boats are traditional boats in Finland with sweep oars and sliding seats.
