This will be presented for the first time at the 2017 World Rowing Masters Regatta in Bled, Slovenia in September. Two Club Trophies will be presented, one for men’s events and one for women’s events, and they will be awarded to the club that has earned the most points in their respective categories at the regatta. Only crews comprised entirely from one club will be eligible for points. The criteria are described below.

“The trophy is a great opportunity for clubs to be showcased at the World Rowing Masters Regatta. It will give better recognition to clubs who enter many events and encourage their team spirit. Additionally it will promote friendly competition between clubs,” says FISA Masters Commission Chair Tone Pahle.

The World Rowing Masters Regatta attracts thousands of competitors every year with their ages ranging from 27 to 92 years old. Many clubs enter crews in several boat classes and these clubs will now compete for the trophy.

All age and gender categories will be allocated points in the same manner.  All club crews who finish the race will be awarded points, regardless of the number of crews racing in that heat.  Points will be awarded according to the actual finishing position for each club’s crew depending upon the type of event and placement of the crew, according to the following table:
