The World Erg Challenge gives teams from across the world the opportunity to compete on the Concept2 indoor rowing machine, not for certain time or speed, but rather for a total amount of metres logged.

This means that it is not about how fast you are on the indoor rower, but rather about your dedication.

Starting 15 March 2019, teams have one month to log as many kilometres as possible. The cut off date is 15 April. Teams must consist of at least two people and must start logging their metres before 30 March. Logging is done through the Concept2 log book
