Race 6 BM1x LAT – The LAT sculler capsized at 1,900 metres in the course, did not continue with the race and was taken from the water by the rescue boat to ensure there was no interference with the following race which was already on the course. The Executive Committee has decided that the rower could have completed the race if allowed and because an adequate distance of the race was rowed at race pace the rower will be allowed to continue in the regatta as the last placed crew in their heat. He will proceed to the repechage.

Race 37 BLM2x LTU – The LTU crew broke a scull after 1,000 metres but was willing to continue racing with one rower in order to finish the race. This was at the period of lightening activity so the umpire ordered that, for the safety of the rowers and other personnel on the water, they be taken off the water and away from the exposure to lightning. The Executive Committee has decided that, due to the circumstances and their willingness to complete the race, they will be allowed to continue in the regatta as the last placed crew in their heat. They will proceed to the repechage.

Race 24 BLM1x GEO – Before 1,000 metres, the GEO sculler suffered an equipment failure. The umpire decided that even if the rower could have slowly completed the race there was not sufficient time as the next race was about to start.  The umpire therefore decided that the rower should be taken off the water. The Executive Committee has decided that he will be allowed to continue in the regatta as the last placed crew in his heat subject to rowing the 2,000 metre course at race pace this afternoon at 17:50 hrs in order to simulate the equivalent fatigue as the other competitors. He will then proceed to the repechage.

Race 27 BLM1x MAR – The MAR sculler missed the start of his heat at 11:40 hrs due to an incorrect instruction from an official in the warm-up area and he did not start in his heat. The Executive Committee has decided that, due to the incorrect instruction from a race official, he will be allowed to continue in the regatta as the last placed crew in his heat subject to rowing the 2,000 course at race pace this afternoon at 17:50 hrs in order to simulate the equivalent fatigue as the other competitors. He will then proceed to the repechage.
