“Being a female in a men’s crew is challenging, but so much fun. I was nervous because I was the first female to cox a male eight. I was expecting other female coxes, but when I arrived and saw I was the only one, I was nervous. We are a student team so winning today, we are really happy. They are so dedicated, it is great to cox them. They have been rowing together for several years now, we are great together.”

“We went off with really good intent at the start and tried to really stick to the plan. We really tried to push toward the end. This is a good positive going forward. Yesterday was our first time doing a full 2k together, so it’s a fresh crew. The Netherlands have rowed together for a long time.”
