The World Rowing Federation, FISA, wishes to advise international media about information available for the 2017 World Rowing Championships, Sarasota-Bradenton, United States.

This is the main event of the 2017 season and it will take place from 24 September to 1 October 2017. The media guide is now available here. It includes a Who to Watch for all of the Olympic boat classes, a summary of the season so far, useful statistics from all major regattas and the current World Best Times, useful media information, all recent results and a rundown of top athletes of interest.

The World Rowing website, will be the main channel containing:

·         Entries, results, and related PDFs

·         Race reports

·         Live race tracker

·         Audio commentary 

·         Photos

·         Live blog

The racing draw will take place 23 September at 3pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) and will be live streamed on World Rowing’s Facebook page:

Live video coverage will be available on the World Rowing website for the semi-finals and A-finals. These begin on Thursday 28 September and go through to Sunday 1 October.

World Rowing also posts information on its social media channels. The official Twitter account of World Rowing is @WorldRowing. The official hashtag for the event is #WRChamps. World Rowing will provide updates, video, photos and short commentary via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram @WorldRowingOfficial. Athletes and fans are encouraged to tweet messages of support using the official hashtag.
