The 2015 World Rowing Junior Championships in Rio, Brazil has brought racing one day forward due to the impending weather forecast.  

The weather forecast is showing very strong winds on Saturday 8 August and all day on Sunday, thus FISA’s Executive Committee has decided to advance the races originally scheduled for Saturday to take place on Friday morning and the finals, originally planned for Sunday 9 August , will now take place on Saturday morning.

This schedule change follows yesterday’s decision to stage two rounds of racing on Thursday 6 August. The races originally scheduled for Thursday morning remained the same while the races originally scheduled for Friday morning have been moved to Thursday afternoon starting at 15:00.

Depending on the hourly weather forecasts on the may be slight changes to the schedule of the finals on Saturday morning. This will be issued at 6:30am on Friday 7 August.
