The FISA Executive Committee has re-allocated the two “host country” places. These places were reserved in case the host country did not qualify for the competition. In the case of rowing, the British team has qualified boats for the Games through the 2011 World Rowing Championships. Therefore one additional men's and one additional women's single scull will be allocated at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta this week in Lucerne, Switzerland. This makes a total of four men's and four women's single sculls for Olympic qualification on Wednesday, 23 May 2012.
