China dominates the first World Rowing Cup in Plovdiv
The finals of the 2019 World Rowing Cup I took place in lovely rowing conditions of flat water in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. But as racing progressed a small head wind got stronger making for slower times and double the effort.
The first two finals raced at World Rowing Cup I in Plovdiv, Bulgaria with the lightweight men’s and women’s single sculls. European Champion, Alena Furman showed continued form and Peter Galambos dominated the men’s race.
World Rowing Cup I in Plovdiv, Bulgaria moved on to a morning of semifinals to help decide the remaining boats for tomorrow’s finals. A warm day with a bit of a tail wind breeze causing some bumps in the water was the conditions for these rowers.
