Races from Race 105 (Women’s eight Repechage race) onwards on Wednesday morning 23 August have been cancelled due to possible adverse weather conditions.

The decision was made by FISA’s fairness committee that monitored the conditions closely throughout all morning races.

Mike Tanner, chair of FISA’s events commission and member of the fairness committee, assured team managers at today’s team manager’s meeting that in the view of the fairness committee none of the races which took place this morning were affected by adverse conditions. But, Tanner added, that the evolving wind pattern might go on to create unfair conditions for the remaining races.

Today’s postponed races have been moved to the beginning of the race programme on Thursday morning. Races will now begin at 9am instead of the scheduled 9:30am
